Terms of Service

By using Folium (foliumcv.com, "the Service", "we", "us") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The service

The core editor — every template, unlimited PDF export, and unlimited saved resumes — is free, with no account required. If you never create an account, no resume content or personal data is sent to or stored on our servers; your resume lives only in your browser. The AI features (job match analysis, tailoring, cover letters, PDF import) require a free account and are limited to a number of uses per day, or a larger pool over each 30-day cycle for Premium accounts (see "3. Premium" below). Optionally, you may create a free account (a one-time email link, no password) to sign in, use the AI features, and, where available, keep your data across devices. 2. Accounts

Creating an account is optional and requires only an email address — we never ask for or store a password. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, since our sign-in links are sent there. You may request deletion of your account and any associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may occasionally email you about new features or CV tips, but only if you separately opt in — see "Marketing emails" in our Privacy Policy.

3. Premium

Premium is an optional paid upgrade (currently US$5/month) on top of a free account, offering a larger AI action pool — 300 actions usable over the 30 days following each cycle's start, instead of the free plan's daily cap. If you use them all before the cycle ends, you can buy another 300-action top-up for the same price, valid until the current cycle resets. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the seller of record for the subscription; your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms. Premium renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the account menu inside the app, which opens a self-service billing portal — no email or phone call needed; cancelling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current period. Refund requests can be sent to [email protected] and are considered on a case-by-case basis. We may change Premium's price or included benefits going forward; changes will not apply retroactively to a period you've already paid for.

4. Your content and responsibility

You are responsible for the information you enter and for ensuring you have the right to use it. You keep all rights to your resume content. If you use the Service without an account, your data is stored locally on your device only — please keep your own backups (you can export your data from the app). We are not responsible for content lost due to clearing browser data, device loss, or similar events outside our control.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt or overload it, attempt to bypass any usage limit (including the AI action limits) by technical means, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service

We can refuse, restrict, suspend, or shut down access to the Service — for one account or all of it, at our discretion, with or without notice. This is mainly there for abuse, fraud, violating these terms, or anything we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or to other users.

7. Availability, changes, and discontinuation

We may change, add, remove, or discontinue the Service or any feature of it — including features that are free today — at any time. We don't guarantee the Service, or any specific feature, stays available forever or unchanged, and we're not liable for the impact of doing so.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that a resume created with it will result in a job offer or interview.

9. AI-generated content

The AI features (job match analysis, tailored resume copies, cover letters, OCR) require a free account, are limited to a capped number of uses (daily for free accounts, a rolling 30-day pool for Premium), and are generated by a third-party language model — they may contain errors, awkward phrasing, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before using it — including before sending it to an employer. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or suitability of AI-generated content for any purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows it, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — lost data, lost profits, that kind of thing — even if we'd been warned it could happen. Where liability can't be excluded entirely, it's capped at whatever you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

If a third party comes after us, our operators, or our affiliates because of something on your end — your use of the Service, your content, or a violation of these terms or the law — you agree to cover the resulting claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be submitted to the ordinary courts of the City of Mar del Plata, Argentina.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time and will revise the "last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the Service.
